And the Crazy Just Keeps Coming

This week has been one of those crazy fantastic weeks. It makes me exhausted and excited all at once because this week we started back to school.

I’m now the proud teacher to 20ish (there is a chance I’ll be getting a few more) second graders. They are such a good bunch of kids, and I’m excited to see how the year turns out.

My weeks started on Monday with meetings and the anxiousness of wanting to work in my classroom. With moving and all the new teacher trainings, I had not had much time in the classroom and it was a mess. My closet needed cleaned out, desks needed arranged, names needed put on everything. Needless to say it seemed like a daunting task.

Tuesday and Wednesday were work days and I was able to spend quality time in the classroom. You can see the results in the picture above because I took it just minutes before Open House began. I was not quite ready for the start of school the next day, but the room looked good for Open House.

I have to say, the first day of school had a few bumps, but it was the best start I could have asked for. The kids are wonderful and have great potential. I’m excited to see them grow throughout the year.

On an even more exciting and happy note, last night we officially signed paper to sell our house. This is such a huge relief for us and we are excited to pass the house on to another family to take care of and enjoy. Now we can step fully into our future and enjoy every moment with out worrying about the past holding us down.

So this has been an eventful week, and I am excited about the future. I hope everyone has a little bit of crazy in there life. It’s what keep life from getting boring. See you next week.
