A Month of Love, Crazy, Crazy L-O-V-E

February is the month of love. With Valentine’s Day right in the middle of the month, many people are gearing up to spend the day with loved ones. This month, on Valentine’s Day, my husband and I will be together 20 years (including the time we dated). So I thought now would be the perfect time to gush about how much I love my husband.

To say I’m a busy person is an understatement. I work two jobs, maintain this blog, take Master’s classes to get my MLS, and take care of my family. I have also taken on helping plan my 20 year class reunion. It seems as if I have taken on more than I can handle most days, but there is one person that keeps me from combusting into nothing.

My husband, Keith, works hard as a 4th grade teacher. He has over 60 kids that come though is room everyday. He is patience, most of the time, and works hard to make sure everyone is doing their best and working hard. This is not any different then what he does at home.

Since I’m working two jobs, and the kids have evening activities, we are only home a few night a week together. He is the glue that is holding our family together right now. I don’t think I ever take enough time to let him know how much I appreciate what he does for our family. He is allowing me to follow me dreams, and in turn is holding down the fort, so to say.

I love that he is able to take care of our family when I’m not home to do it myself or when I’m so tired it is hard to function. He cooks, cleans, does the laundry, and all the other thousands of small things that slip through the cracks even on the best days.

I know that one day, hopefully soon, out roles will balance out again and we won’t have to work so hard, but until that day. I just want him to know how much I love him and appreciate him taking on the extra duties around the house. I would never be able to do what I’m doing without his support.

Since this is the month of love, make sure you give someone you love a shout out. It might just be a small hey, I love you, but it lets them know how much you care. Post in the comments who you appreciate the most! Have great week!
