We’re finally in the race to the end of the year. Not that next year will be any slower or less crazy, but this time of year makes January seem slow and easy compared to the rest of the year.
This month is one of my favorite because it is finally turning cold, and you can see the world changing around you. Everything is turning gold and brown before winding down to the end of the year.
Over the next month, I’m going to post on Facebook and Twitter what I’m thankful for, and I hope you will join me. This is the month to focus on what really matters and let everyone know what good is happening in your life. So, I look forward to seeing what you post and sharing what I’m Thankful for.
With Thanksgiving coming and Christmas just around the corner, November is the perfect month to share some downtime with the family. I know with the colder weather and chilly night, our family, on the few nights we aren’t busy take time to just sit and relax with a movie and popcorn.
Even though I like November, I not a huge fan of the biting cold. But I do love the grey, dreary day that are in so much contrast to the bright sunny days of this past summer. I can actually slow down for a moment with a cup of cocoa and a good book while just enjoying the day.
This past weekend, I actually stayed home all day on Saturday and really did nothing. The usual suspects like laundry or cleaning the kitchen showed up, but I use the day to sit and watch movies all day. I was so nice and refreshing from the busyness of all the other days.
I hope this November you can take a day to slow down and just enjoy being you or spend quality (not quantity) time with your family. Drink a cup of something warm and just enjoy the downtime with the people you love.
